Luby Sparks adalah sebuah unit alternative-rock / dream pop yang didirikan di Tokyo pada tahun 2016. Setelah Erika Murphy bergabung dengan band ini pada tahun 2019, Luby Sparks semakin memperkuat estetika ‘90s nya dengan musiknya yang banyak mengambil influence dari ‘90s alt-rock acts dan juga tentunya tampilan visual dan karakter vokal Erika yang khas. Based on your profile pic, what do you like most about Brandon Lee’s The Crow film?
I love the world and the soundtrack so much.
You told me that you went to see My Bloody Valentine and Nine Inch Nails at Sonic Mania Chiba. What was your experience in that concert?
I went that day with the band member Natsuki (Kato, Luby Sparks bass player), Indonesian photographer Adi and Max from YUCK. Sonic Mania has live shows at night, so I was happy to see them at late night. I was shocked by both, but NIN’s live show was the highlight.
So Luby Sparks is a very interesting name. Do all of you really liked the movie Ruby Sparks?
I think I’m the only person who saw that film. I felt lots of male ego but I loved the story and Ruby’s personality.

How about your experience playing a show at Acid Reflux Bandung? What Indonesian bands do you like?
It was awesome!!!!! I didn’t expect a lot of people to come! Already miss my Indonesian fans! Near-crush! I loved the alternative / shoegaze vibes.
What foods have you tried in Indonesia? Are there any favorites?
Nasi goreng! I tried a lot but I forgot the name sorry..
